1. Verify load against shipping papers. Drive truck to specified destination. Prepare receipt for load picked up. Collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
2. May maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations. May maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
3. May load and unload truck. May inspect truck equipment as supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
4. May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, and tire chains.
Minimum Requirements:
1. One-year experience driving similar equipment in various traffic and weather conditions or graduation from company approved training program.
2. Age 21.
3. Record of safe and competent driving as demonstrated on state Motor Vehicle Record.
4. Valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples and hazmats endorsements.
5. Ability to work various shifts and days of the week.
6. Ability to record applicable freight information on bill of lading.
7. Ability to match information on freight bill with description on bill of lading.
